Replacement Gateway Laptop Batteries

What laptop should I buy?

Currently, I have a Gateway MX6454 that seems like it was on verge of collapse after owning for a year and a half. I'm fed up with so I'm considering getting a replacement for her. Here's what I want to from a new laptop:> = 2 GHz (preferably Intel)> = 2 GB of RAM> = 2 hours battery life <= label Price $ 1500 Vista Capable / preinstalled NOT another gateway Apart from the occasional web browsing and running some basic programs, I do not ask much other things on my laptop. I am a student at an American university majoring in software engineering, so I need something is reliable and durable (it will not have all sorts of hardware problems after eighteen months of use).
