Prius Battery Life

Prius Battery Life Prius Battery Life
What is the average lifespan of a battery of the Prius and how much do they cost to replace?

Nobody really knows the MTBF (mean time between failures) because there is not enough Prius there with 300,000 to 400,000 miles on them and failures of the battery were very low. So far, there are many more than 200,000 miles and still working fine. I own a 2004 and was 115,000 miles without problems. If I had to replace the battery warranty (and the guarantee is not a guarantee in proportion as a 12V battery, it's 100% replacement for the duration of the warranty) the price is $ 1967.39 plus about $ 600 for installation. This award has been decreasing every year, by the way. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=213747&chapter=&sectionids=26, 0 & groupid = 60120 & make = & model = 34 & year = 2004 Prius & catalogid = 1 & displayCatalogid = 0 or I could buy a battery of refurbished for less than companies such as Re-Involt http://www.re-involt.com/ Another alternative would be to obtain a battery of a wrecked Prius for about $ 500. In other words, the Prius traction battery is simply not to worry.
