Detailed Itinerary
Why deal with us?
We have been safely and successfully on several occasions. Everything we have works and works well. We have a great radio with extra batteries and they even take AA batteries, so you never miss. Our work laptops but very few others do, we have the power sorted. Our Sherpas are loyal, organized and honest, and I worked Jamie repeatedly 8000m peaks, including Everest. We have good relations with all the administrative staff, and especially the liaison officers, and have a long history of successful expeditions to Tibet.
What's included
In Kathmandu
We pick you up at the airport and to provide a hotel room so that you can stream devices, and our store with a large grassy space is just around the corner. Because we provide all tents, oxygen, dehydration meals on the mountain, etc., you should be able to get to Kathmandu without the additional transport costs (Which can be large, sometimes).
Tibet
We handle all formalities for the Chinese visa and all travel to Tibet and climbing permits. All sightseeing, hotels (double rooms) and meals are included.
Base Camp and ABC
At base camp we a kitchen with a cook and permanent aid, attempts to eat small, if necessary, solar and / or a generator to recharge radio contact with ABC and camps on the mountain, and Internet. We offer a attempting British Columbia by a member (a tent for two or three people). We offer three meals a day and tea, and all hot drinks and boiled water for drinking. At ABC, we offer the same.
We have good energy systems Solar providing 12V, 115V and 230V, so you can reload all digital cameras, video cameras, batteries and laptops.
We two laptops available for the exclusive use of our teams. Email via Outlook is free. Otherwise, for users of computers heavier laptops please bring your own, but you need a 12V adapter for charging. Note that not all laptops work to 5000m +.
You can surf the web too, but in the past it was expensive. For 2008, we plan to further provisions to this effect.
Climbing
All mountain tents and meals (a good variety; Enertia are our favorites), and gas stoves are included. fixed rope loads are included. The Sherpas are responsible for storing all the camps and the execution of oxygen, tents, gas and meals. They normally climb separately team up to push to the summit. The Sherpas do not carry your personal equipment (but you can pay extra for a personal Sherpa).
We climb the mountain for most in team or two with the guide and assistant guide. You can climb to the North Col, both commodity.
Oxygen
We will use Poisk oxygen and up to 5x 4-liter bottles available for each climber. For C3 the top all the oxygen is Poisk, new plant. No Fill. We include Sherpa oxygen separately.
Weather reports
With good internet, we have access to a variety weather reports, and we subscribe to a weather overpaid. Judging time is one of the most important issues surrounding climbing Everest.
Emergency Evacuation
We have a bag CAP usually stationed at ABC, and oxygen Emergency ABC and British Columbia, more comprehensive medical kits. If you must leave the mountain top, alone or as two persons, then there will be a charge of $ 700. If you are a group of three or four, then it is unlikely to be a burden, but it may be some time before your Baggage arrive in Kathmandu.
Medical
We have a full medical kit and BC and ABC. You must be ready with a small personal kit Med on the mountain. Jamie is used to treat issues of altitude and intestinal problems and other minor medical problems.
We have a doctor available for consultation for our 2008 Expedition.
Environment
We remove all waste from ABC to BC and this includes human waste. It is then eliminated by the Chinese. We intend to remove the toilet waste North Col also less.
Departure
While we're all in the Journey, you can leave separately, provided that you climbers 3-4 traveling together. Our office in Kathmandu has your international tickets and can not arrange flights to meet.
Chronology
You must book and pay a $ 5,000 3 Filing AT LEAST months before shipping to ensure the availability of tents, oxygen etc. (You also need to make international flights at least three months, six months and more in advance …)
Insurance
This is choice. It is sometimes possible to obtain insurance for your 8000 Alpine peaks national club, the BMC in the United Kingdom and American Alpine Club offers special packages good. There is no helicopter rescue possible in Tibet so evacuation is Landcruiser to Kathmandu, and is expected to cost about $ 700 U.S.. There is a particularly good clinic in Kathmandu otherwise nearest hospital is of high standard in Singapore or Bangkok. All our staff are Nepalese insured.
Warning
Everest is the highest mountain in the world and despite some publicity, it is not "easy" or even "simple". It is a very serious and top misjudgment or misfortune can be fatal, up there. Even with the best companies risk of death and frostbite is real.
